**NOW ACCEPTING APPLICANTS FOR FALL 2021**

Nutrition Program Assistant

*First year Master level student in Nutrition Public Health Program preferred.*

This person reports directly to the Culinary and Nutrition Support Specialist
~10 hours scheduled per week September-April
~32-40 hours May-August

Work areas:
-Review Michigan Dining website for accurate nutrition information and signage
-Correct discrepancies in University software to be reflected on website
-Research and verify nutrition and allergen information for new and current products
-Maintain ingredient database to ensure accurate tracking and publishing
-Record new recipes from Executive Chef in software
-Track allergen and ingredient information for new recipes
-Create nutrition education materials
-Develop programming and presentations for nutrition education
-Knowledge of basic nutrition, including essential nutrients, energy balance, and current trends and issues
-Comfortable with Microsoft Office products
-Good communication skills and self-directed
