Job Description:
The Program Assistant will report directly to the Culinary and Nutrition Support Specialist.

Job Duties:
• Review Michigan Dining website for accurate nutrition information and signage
• Correct discrepancies in University software to be reflected on website
• Research and verify nutrition and allergen information for new and current products
• Maintain ingredient database to ensure accurate tracking and publishing
• Record new recipes from Executive Chefs in software
• Track allergen and ingredient information for new recipes
• Create nutrition education materials
• Develop programming and presentations for nutrition education
• Regularly audit database

Desired Qualifications:
• First Year Masters Level Student in Nutrition Public Health Program
• Knowledge of basic nutrition including essential nutrients, energy balance and current trends and issues
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office products
• Good Communication Skills, Self-Directed

Academic Term(s): Fall/Winter/Spring/Summer
Hours per Week: 10-40 hours
• minimum of 10 hours September-April
• 32-40 hours scheduled May-August
