The Center for Campus Involvement (CCI) in University Unions within Student Life at the University of Michigan is a dynamic, student-focused department that serves all undergraduate and graduate students through student programs, student services, and student development. Through meaningful involvement, CCI creates transformative experiences, a vibrant community, and lifelong memories for University of Michigan students. CCI recognizes and supports over 1,400 student organizations through education, advising, advocacy, and services. CCI also implements hundreds of social, educational, cultural, and recreational programs each year, focused on building community within and beyond University Unions’ facilities.
The University of Michigan boasts over 1,400 Student Organizations, adding to a vibrant campus community. The Center for Campus Involvement is hiring the Student Organization Registrant to support the registration and recognition process for the student organizations that occurs between April 15 and September 30. This position will review registrations and student organization constitutions, ensuring compliance with CCI and University policies and providing customer service to student organizations.
CCI Student Organization Registrations (100%)
Review and process up to 60 student organization registrations and constitutions per week on Maize Pages during the months of August, September, and October.
Enforce CCI and University policies as it relates to registrations and constitutions for Recognized Student Organizations.
Read student organization constitutions as part of registration to ensure compliance with CCI and University policies.
Communicate with student organization leaders the status of their registration submission, and any revisions that may be needed.
Consult with CCI Staff as needed regarding student organization registrations and constitutions.
Access to a computer and/or laptop to process registrations digitally
Must be able to attend 10 hours of on-site training during first week of employment
Actively seeking a Master’s degree in Student Affairs Higher Education Administration.
Knowledge of the University of Michigan community and student organization policies.
Ability to work autonomously
Ability to meet deadlines. Strong administrative and organizational skills
Flexible work schedule required
Please note: CCI cannot guarantee 20 hours of work each week. Work will fluctuate depending on the number of registrations and constitutions each week.
