Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) is seeking a hardworking graduate student to serve as a student coordinator/building manager at 1443 Washtenaw. They will set-up and breakdown events and meeting spaces and provide excellent customer service. Additionally, they will be the point of contact for student staff at the front desk during evening and weekend hours.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute building opening and closing operations according to FSL policy and procedure
  • Assist with managing the event reservation process
  • Learn, uphold, and enforce all campus and building safety policies and procedures
  • Provide the appropriate response to emergencies impacting guests and/or facilities
  • Provide leadership during evening and weekend shifts when professional staff are not physically present
  • Coordinate and execute event space set-up and breakdown and serve as primary support person for events hosted at 1443 Washtenaw Assist with audio/visual equipment in event spaces and problem-solve in an efficient and professional manner to resolve guest inquiries
  • Track and report building utilization and maintenance issues during hourly rounds to campus units and FSL professional staff
  • Attend and participate in mandatory training, monthly staff meetings, and professional development initiatives
  • Ensure adherence to space usage policies and guidelines including but not limited to PPE
  • Other duties as assigned to support the mission of FSL
